We’re a small, growing gardening team working across Hobart, looking after everything from regular garden maintenance and lawn mowing to hedge trimming, pruning and larger garden clean-ups.

We care about doing a good job, treating customers and their properties with respect, and working well together as a team.

We’re looking for people with genuine gardening or horticultural knowledge who can bring useful skills to the team. Relevant qualifications and practical experience are important, along with the right attitude, reliability and pride in your work.

The people who work with us represent The Hobart Gardeners at our customers’ homes and properties, so practical gardening skills, reliability and professionalism are important.

We’re particularly interested in hearing from experienced gardeners and horticulturists who:

• Hold a Certificate II or III in Horticulture, Parks and Gardens, or a similar qualification, or have equivalent practical experience
• Have good plant knowledge and practical gardening skills
• Are confident with pruning, garden maintenance, lawn care and general horticultural work
• Can use common gardening tools and equipment safely and competently
• Take pride in doing a job properly and leaving properties well presented
• Are reliable, professional and respectful with customers and their properties
• Can work independently as well as part of a team
• Are comfortable with physical outdoor work

Relevant horticultural qualifications are highly regarded, but we’ll also consider applicants with strong practical gardening experience and demonstrated skills.
